Dashboard Overview

The Dashboard is your home page in Pack to the Future. It gives you a live overview of your shipping activity, performance stats, and quick access to key features.


Welcome Section

Hero banner with video

What it is
A welcome banner at the top of the dashboard that introduces you to Pack to the Future.

What it shows

  • A welcome message explaining Pack to the Future’s mission

  • A link to a 2-minute video tour

  • A dismiss button (✕) in the top-right corner

How to use

  • Click the video thumbnail to watch the tour (opens in a new tab)

  • Click the ✕ button to dismiss the banner permanently

When it appears
Only shown to new users. Once dismissed, it will not appear again.


Onboarding Guide

What it is
A step-by-step checklist designed to help you set up Pack to the Future quickly.

What it shows

  • 5 setup steps with progress tracking

  • A progress bar showing completion percentage

  • Action buttons for each step

  • Skip buttons for optional steps

How to use

  • Click Connect Carriers to set up shipping carriers

  • Click Configure Safety Net to set default fallback rates

  • Click View Pricing to configure billing

  • Click Order Packaging to browse sustainable packaging

  • Click Try Product AI to enable AI dimension estimation (Warrior+ only)

  • Click Skip to mark a step as complete without doing it

  • Click the ✕ button in the top-right to dismiss the entire guide

When it appears
Shown when fewer than 4 steps are completed. It automatically hides once all steps are completed or dismissed.

Monthly Limit Banner

What it is
A warning banner that appears when you are approaching or have reached your monthly shipment limit.

What it shows

  • Current shipment count vs your plan limit

  • Percentage of limit used

  • Warning state at 80%+

  • Critical alert at 100%

What to do

  • Approaching the limit: consider upgrading your plan

  • At the limit: booking new shipments is paused until the next month or after upgrading

  • Click the banner to go to Settings → Billing

When it appears
Only shown if your subscription plan includes a monthly shipment limit.


Today’s Fulfillment Overview

What it is
A snapshot of your current orders and fulfillment workload.

View all orders

Click View All Orders in the top-right of this section to open the Orders page.


Metric cards

Orders to fulfil

What it shows
Orders that are pending or allocated but not yet shipped.

Colour coding

  • Green: 10 or fewer

  • Yellow: 11–20

  • Red: More than 20

What it means
Your current workload.


Due today

What it shows
Orders that must ship today.

Colour coding

  • Green: 5 or fewer

  • Yellow: 6–10

  • Red: More than 10

Extra info
Express orders appear as a pill badge (for example, “3 express”).


Fulfilled (last 30 days)

What it shows
Total orders successfully shipped in the last 30 days.


Average fulfillment time

What it shows
Average time from order creation to shipment, in hours.

What it means
Lower numbers indicate faster fulfillment.


Monthly shipments

What it shows
Current month’s shipment count vs your plan limit.

Colour coding

  • Green: Under 80%

  • Yellow: 80–99%

  • Red: 100%+

Extra info
Displays remaining shipments available this month.


Estimated time to fulfil all

What it shows
Estimated time required to ship all pending orders.

Colour coding

  • Green: Under 24 hours

  • Yellow: 24–40 hours

  • Red: Over 40 hours


Order status breakdown

What it shows

  • Pending – not yet allocated

  • Allocated – assigned to a warehouse

  • Shipped – shipped orders (green)

  • Delivered – delivered orders (green)

What it means
A quick snapshot of where all orders are in the fulfillment pipeline.


Additional stats

Store pickup orders

Shown only if you have retail pickup orders.

Last-mile orders

Express or same-day delivery orders only.

Peak order hours

Your three busiest order hours, based on the last 30 days.

Packaging requirements

Breakdown of packaging needs:

  • Standard

  • Express

  • Large

  • Special (store pickup, Uber, etc.)


KPI Metrics

What it is
Performance and sustainability metrics displayed with trend sparklines.


Industry benchmarks (new users)

If you haven’t shipped any orders yet, the dashboard displays industry averages instead of empty metrics.

You’ll see

  • Industry averages on KPI cards

  • A blue “Industry Benchmarks” banner

  • Tooltips explaining benchmark data

Once you ship your first order, these automatically switch to your real data.


Money saved

Shows your total savings over the last 30 days compared to standard carrier rates.


Free packaging earned (Pack Points)

Shows your Pack Points balance.

Includes

  • Link to redeem packaging

  • Expiry warnings at 14 days

  • Critical alerts at 7 days

Points expire after 3 months.


Plastic avoided

Tracks kilograms of plastic avoided by using sustainable packaging.


On-time shipping

Percentage of orders shipped within SLA targets.

Industry benchmark for new users: 99.8%.

The dashboard updates in real time when the page loads or refreshes.

Can I customize the dashboard?
Not currently. The layout is fixed, but all data is personalized.

Why don’t I see some metrics?
Some metrics only appear when relevant to your account.

How do I hide the onboarding guide?
Click the ✕ button or complete all five steps.

What do the sparkline graphs show?
Trends over the last 30 days.

Why are some cards different colours?
Green = good, yellow = attention needed, red = critical.

How is money saved calculated?
By comparing Pack to the Future rates against standard carrier rates for the same shipments.

What happens when I hit my monthly limit?
Shipment booking is paused until the next month or after upgrading your plan.
