Settings – Integrations tab

The Integrations tab is where you connect Pack to the Future with external systems like ERPs, WMS platforms, and the Pack to the Future API. This is an advanced area designed for merchants who want deeper automation and system-to-system syncing.

How to access the Integrations tab

  1. Click Settings in the left-hand navigation

  2. Click the Integrations tab

On this page you’ll see:

  • ERP integration settings

  • WMS integration settings

  • Pack to the Future API access

  • An upgrade banner if integrations are locked


Plan requirements

Integrations are available on Warrior and Enterprise plans.

If you’re on Free or Starter

You’ll see:

  • A banner saying “Available on Warrior and above”

  • Disabled integration fields

  • A View plans & pricing button

To unlock integrations:

  1. Click View plans & pricing

  2. Upgrade to Warrior or Enterprise

  3. Return to the Integrations tab

Why this is locked: ERP/WMS syncing and API access are advanced features designed for higher-volume operations.


ERP integration

ERP integrations allow Pack to the Future to sync with your accounting or inventory system.

Why connect an ERP?

  • Sync inventory levels

  • Automate order processing

  • Keep stock data accurate

  • Improve fulfillment decisions


Enable ERP integration

What this does
Turns on ERP integration settings.

How to use

  1. Check Enable ERP integration

  2. Additional fields appear

  3. Select your ERP provider

  4. Enter API details

  5. Click Save Changes

Enable this only if you plan to connect an ERP system.


ERP provider

What it is
Selects which ERP platform you use.

Available options

  • NetSuite

  • SAP

  • Microsoft Dynamics

  • Sage

  • Custom (for other ERPs)

If your ERP isn’t listed, choose Custom.


API endpoint

What it is
The URL Pack to the Future will connect to.

How to enter

  • Enter the full API endpoint provided by your ERP

  • Format usually looks like:
    https://api.your-erp.com

Example
https://api.netsuite.com/services/rest/v1


API key

What it is
Your ERP’s API authentication key.

How to enter

  • Paste the API key provided by your ERP

  • The key is masked for security

Security note
API keys are encrypted and never shown in plain text.


WMS integration

WMS integrations connect Pack to the Future with your warehouse system.

Why connect a WMS?

  • Real-time inventory visibility

  • Automated fulfillment allocation

  • Better warehouse routing

  • Improved delivery speed


Enable WMS integration

What this does
Turns on WMS integration settings.

How to use

  1. Check Enable WMS integration

  2. Additional fields appear

  3. Select your WMS provider

  4. Enter API details

  5. Click Save Changes


WMS provider

Available options

  • ShipBob

  • Flexe

  • 3PL Central

  • Custom

Select Custom if your WMS isn’t listed.


API endpoint

What it is
The base URL for your WMS API.

Example
https://api.packtothefuture.com/v1

This endpoint is used to sync warehouse and fulfillment data.


API key

What it is
Your WMS authentication token.

How it works

  • Used to authenticate requests

  • Stored securely and encrypted

  • Never displayed after saving


Pack to the Future API

The Pack to the Future API allows you to build custom integrations and workflows.

What you can do with the API

  • Book shipments programmatically

  • Retrieve shipping rates

  • Sync packaging usage

  • Automate fulfillment flows

  • Connect internal systems

What it does
Opens the API documentation in a new tab.

What you’ll find

  • Available endpoints

  • Authentication details

  • Request and response examples

  • Code samples

Use this if you’re building your own integrations.


Generate API token (coming soon)

Current status
This feature is under development.

What it will allow

  • Generate secure API tokens

  • Authenticate API requests

  • Manage and rotate tokens

API access will still require a Warrior+ plan.


Saving integration settings

Save Changes button

What it does
Saves all ERP and WMS integration settings.

How to use

  1. Configure ERP and/or WMS details

  2. Click Save Changes

  3. Settings are stored securely

Requirements

  • Warrior or Enterprise plan

  • Valid API endpoints and keys


Integration status & troubleshooting

Integrations run in the background.

How to tell if it’s working

  • Inventory levels reflect external systems

  • Orders route correctly

  • Warehouse allocation behaves as expected

If something isn’t working

  • Double-check API endpoints

  • Verify API keys are valid

  • Confirm your ERP/WMS allows external API access

  • Contact support if issues persist

If an integration fails, Pack to the Future continues to work normally — syncing simply pauses.


Frequently asked questions

Do I need integrations to use Pack to the Future?
No. Integrations are optional and only needed if you want automated syncing.

Can I use both ERP and WMS integrations?
Yes. You can enable both at the same time.

What if my provider isn’t listed?
Choose Custom and enter your API details manually.

Are API keys secure?
Yes. All credentials are encrypted and never exposed.

Can I disable an integration later?
Yes. Uncheck the enable checkbox and save changes.

Is API access separate from ERP/WMS?
Yes. You can use the Pack to the Future API without ERP or WMS integrations.

What data is synced?
Typically inventory, orders, and warehouse information. Exact data depends on your provider.

How often does syncing happen?
Sync frequency depends on the external system and configuration. Some providers support near real-time sync.
