Setting up your packaging types ensures accurate shipping rates and label sizes for every order. Here's how to add and manage your packaging in Pack to the Future.
➕ Step 1: Add a packaging type
In your Pack to the Future dashboard, go to Settings > Packaging.
Click Add Packaging Type.
Choose from:
Compostable Mailer
Padded Mailer
Custom Box or Bag
Enter the dimensions (length, width, height) and empty weight of the package.
📝 Tip: Give each packaging type a nickname like “Small Mailer” or “Large Padded Bag” to make fulfillment easier.
🔄 Step 2: Set default packaging (optional)
You can choose a default package for all orders or let the app suggest the best fit based on product size.
To set a default:
Go to Settings > Packaging
Click the star ⭐️ icon next to your preferred package
🧠 Smart Suggestions (available on Warrior and Enterprise)
Higher-tier plans can auto-suggest the ideal package for each order, based on product dimensions and weights.
🧼 Managing your packaging
To edit, click the pencil ✏️ icon next to a packaging type
To delete, click the trash 🗑️ icon (only if it’s not in use on active orders)
