Accurate product data = accurate shipping rates and smoother fulfilment. Hereโ€™s how to check and update your product weights and dimensions in Pack to the Future.

๐Ÿ”„ Step 1: Sync from Shopify

When you first install the app, we automatically import your Shopify product catalog.

To manually sync:

  1. Go to Products > Sync Products

  2. Click Sync Now

๐Ÿ“ This will import any new products or updates from your Shopify admin.


โš–๏ธ Step 2: Review and update product weights

  1. Go to Products > All Products

  2. Youโ€™ll see a list of products and their assigned weights

  3. If a product is missing a weight, click Edit

  4. Enter the correct weight in grams or kilograms (based on your store settings)


๐Ÿ“ Step 3: Add optional dimensions

Some carriers charge based on cubic weight (not just physical weight). To avoid surprises:

  • Enter Length x Width x Height for bulky items or anything over 500g

  • Use cm or mm based on your region

๐Ÿ’ก If you donโ€™t enter dimensions, weโ€™ll estimate based on past shipments or defaults.


๐Ÿšซ What happens if weights are missing?

If a product has no weight:

  • Weโ€™ll use your fallback package weight (set under Settings > Packaging)

  • Rates may be inaccurate or higher than expected
